I installed it by first wiping down the spot with rubbing alcohol to rid the area of oils/grease/dirt to get increased adhesion. After installing it,, I let it sit over night to let the tape to adhere the best to my dash before putting my galaxy s22+ on it. At first after my phone was on it, it did ok held my phone for about 7 minutes. I hit a small bump as I interested a store parking lot and it stayed manetically connected to my phone but not to my dash. it fell off my dash and got right under my feet. I picked it up and later reattached it again to a different spot more in the middle of the dash, it wouldnt stick very good. I finally found a spot it stick to but it's close to my left side (drivers side in America) door window. I don't trust it enough to hold my phone if my window is down now. I only use it if Im waiting on someone to finish up what they are doing or if my drivers window is up. So, though I think it be an ok product, its lack of staying on my dash while holding my phone makes me not trust it. We will see it it gets better or worse in the coming months as it gets colder.Easy to install. Wipe area with alcohol before placement of the holder. Strong magnet ?. I have an LG with case that has the metal finger ring on the back of the case, so I didn't have to install the metal disk that came with the holder. The magnet holds my phone by the metal on the case. This is very compact and easy to use. I would buy it again.I only had one place I could put this and so far it holds my phone but it's a little hard to see the screen because it is tilting upAt first I thought, "Yeah, yeah... ?I'll just return it "When" it doesn't hold."I have Large Galaxy Plus. I adhered the metal disk to the lower 3rd of my phone, (UNDER the case) as to not block the vent, but immediately regretting it, thinking my phone would now be to top heavy and sit or slide crooked. Oh well, it's stuck now. A done deal.Then adhered magnetic base to my dash. Being left handed, there's so little room between the left upper vent and the door. It actually fit!As I'm putting my phone to the base, I was in shocked to start feeling the pull at about 2" away. At 1-½ inches away, it literally grabbed the phone out of my hand. It's VERY strong! My phone sits stable and perfectly straight. Absolutely no wobble. Best of all, my giant phone isn't blocking the vent at all! ??I'm SO happy with this purchase, and highly recommend this product.Side notes:I was a little worried that a magnet this strong might affect my phone's performance, or damage it internally some how. So far I haven't noticed any changes or side effects at all.Also, Having a metal disk attached to the back of my phone, especially at the lower 3rd, isn't't interfereing with cordless charging at all. I was VERY happy about that too.Holds the phone in place, yet easy to take phone off holder. It does not take up any space in the car. I love it and have referred to friends. Buying another one for the other car.I like the fact that it was easy to set up, strong magnet. You can mount your phone as easy as using a refrigerator magnet!I love this. I put the magnet on the inside of my case & it works perfect. Strong holdWorks great with no issues. I use this for an iphone 8 plus.
